The decision to introduce a middleware technology based on the EAIEnterprise Application Integration or SOAService-Oriented Architecture concept is associated with a variety of activities and coordination measures.
These can only be controlled by a powerful project management system. A continual close coordination is needed between those responsible for the connected system and the project team without losing sight of the central theme of the overall program.
During the implementation of the specified scenarios, detailed system-specific knowledge of the middleware solution in particular and of the connected systems is necessary. A good process and mapping design is a prerequisite, not only to keep the data flow performing well and reliably, but also to be able to flexibly implement future adaptations due to changed business processes.
During roll-out, a particularly high level of coordination must be applied. The important issue here is to initiate the decisive steps in all the systems and partial projects in a coordinated and timely manner and to prepare the technical areas for the changes so that the migration to progressive communication technologies can be completed without data losses and failures.
